Our banner image has been designed by Mark Greco. We wanted a "heritage" image we could use on the web and in publications and which didn't reference disability but the world around us. Mark has combined many elements from nature and society that make up the heritage of our lives in Lewes amongst the South Downs and latterly the South Downs National Park.
Three Martletts feature on a golden downland field written on by a quill pen (Tom Paine, who lived next door to our HQ and was married there) the Downs roll away to chalk and the River Ouse, a river that has been the commercial life of the county town for millennia. Rooks circle over the scene, namesake of Lewes FC, the clock face of St Michael's church is in the foreground of Lewes Castle with starburst mortars exploding in the night sky of Bonfire itself the pride and joy of Lewes!
